Mayraki Tip: How to Grow Your Hair Fast

Fun fact: Even the healthiest hair only grows about half an inch every month.

Have you decided to cut your hair weeks or months ago, but then you’re finally regretting it? Or how about the times you went for a trim but your hairstylist cut it too short as expected, and now you can’t style them as usual? Lo and behold, while there is no quick fix to make your hair grow quicker and longer, there are ways how you can stimulate and promote healthy hair growth.

There are different reasons why we cut our hair – and one of them is to get rid of those dry ends. For those who want to get those long mane styled again, here are tips on how to grow your hair fast. Plus! Some bonus hair care tips on how to manage hair loss too.

Use less heat

When styling your hair, as much as possible, use little to no heat. Yes, there are hairstyles that need flat or curling iron to execute the style, but keep in mind to not always do this on a daily basis as it makes the hair super dry and more prone to breakage. If you use heat all the time, this could continue up to the hair shaft and affect hair growth.

Get a scalp massager

Using a scalp massager while washing your hair can help stimulate the hair follicles so that your hair can grow faster. It would also be a huge advantage if you would schedule a scalp cleansing once a month and use a sulfate-free shampoo to remove product buildup and excess oil, as these nasties clog the scalp, thus resulting us slowing hair growth.

However, if you don’t have any scalp massager at the moment, you can do the fingernail rubbing' trick. This tip that went viral on TikTok is said to be an ayurvedic practice, which in Indian culture is believed to give you thick, dense, and healthy hair.

You can also use a professional wooden paddle brush with specially designed bristles that instantly massages the scalp.

Add vitamins to your diet

There are different reasons why hair stops growing, from stress, aging, or even hormones. However, by adding vitamins to your diet, plus eating healthy foods rich in protein, you’re sure to see improvements in no time. In an article written by Healthline, one must include food in their diets such as eggs, spinach, sweet potatoes, nuts, soybeans, and all food that are rich in vitamins A, C, D, and E, zinc, B vitamins, iron, biotin, protein, and essential fatty acids.

Avoid stress

One of the best hair care and tips on stimulating hair growth aside from eating healthy is by cutting down on stress. Most of the number one cause of hair loss and hair fall is stress, which is why we need to find ways to unwind from time to time. There were also studies done before that found out that a stress hormone impairs stem cells necessary for hair growth in mice. Other ways you can do to reduce stress is by doing yoga, surrounding yourself with peers, or meditating.

Those tips mentioned above are just some practices you can easily do at home. In addition, you can also schedule your next salon appointment to get a trim or hair dusting to get rid of dry hair and split ends. Most importantly, use hair products that don’t contain harmful chemicals that bring more damage to your hair.
