Men and women have been in their trial period for ages to search for the best ingredients to apply to their hair – the natural and safer it is the better.

One of the best hair ingredients you should know of is Argan Oil. You may have this ingredient in a lot of hair products and it’s for a good reason. While argan oil is also used as an ingredient for skincare, it’s particularly beneficial to our hair too. But first, let’s discuss what is argan oil, where it came from, and the myriad of benefits.

Argan oil came from argan trees, a thorny, thick tree, a natural to southwestern Morocco. It came from the tree's fruit, a nut with a hard shell. Locals extract the oil cracking the nut open and the kernel inside is pulled out. It's the kernel that is essential to creating the oil. It is then ground and created into a thick, oily paste. Once the oil is extracted from the paste, it becomes argan oil.

This oil is rich in Vitamin E that helps increase hair's elasticity, making it less prone to breakage. Argan oil is also a powerful antioxidant, protecting the hair against UV and free radical damage.
